SHOCKING PREGNANCY TEST REACTION!! Emotional Second Pregnancy Story

– I’m almost sure it’s gonna be negative, but, just because my cycle is late, (whispers) I’m gonna take
it, I’m gonna take one. ♪ Baby, we’re children of summer ♪ ♪ We’re meant to be free ♪ ♪ Honey, we’re not like the others ♪ ♪ No reason to be ♪ – Today we’re gonna kinda
share the whole story, and all of the confusing pieces of it, and hopefully, we can get it out clearly, so that you understand and we understand. – It’s been hectic and confusing and– – Yeah, so we didn’t
want, we wanted to share with our families first
that we were pregnant, and we were planning to share
that at Juniper’s birthday, which we did because
everyone was gonna be there, and that’d be a really
special moment for everyone. But we actually found out,
what, a couple weeks ago? Not that long ago. – Yeah, I think it was a couple weeks ago. – Couple weeks ago, and it’s
been really, really hard because we’ve actually gone
through quite a few things since finding out, and not
being able to talk about it, since we are filming our daily lives, it is so hard to keep a secret that big. And to just vlog, and
come up, like try to like, the main thing happening in our life– – That we were thinking about. – We couldn’t talk about,
and it was so hard. – And it wasn’t like, oh we’re pregnant, like we found out we’re pregnant. This was, as you’re gonna see, this was like a whole weeks long process. – Yeah. – And we never, we didn’t
have a definitive answer whether or not we were pregnant or not. – Yeah, well, yeah. We’ll try to explain. – Yeah (laughs)
– It’s confusing. Hopefully you can follow along. But basically, if you
haven’t been following the whole journey, I had an IUD, and I took it out in November, and we started actively trying
to get pregnant in November. – And we tried for like three months. – We tried for like three months, and I actually thought or suspected that I was pregnant around Christmas time because I thought I had
implantation bleeding, but then after that, I had
gotten my period again. And it was very abnormal for me, I didn’t think that was right, and I just wanted to see a doctor. So I saw a midwife, and
she actually suggested to get my progesterone
tested, which I did. And I had like zero. I think it was like
point two or something. I don’t remember what it was, but it was something really, really low, and she called me up. It was a really hard phone call to hear, but she had like a whole list of things she wanted me to do to help increase my chances of getting pregnant. – [Midwife] Low glycemic fruits like berries, and vegetables, and– Salads, try not to do, things basically that break down the sugar because it will make your
endocrine system work better. – Okay. – [Midwife] Which is your ovaries. – Right. – [Midwife] So let’s have
you intermittent fasting, avoid refined carbohydrates, and go pick up some progesterone,
and you’ll be pregnant. – (laughs) Okay. I have zero. – Zero progesterone? – Zero progesterone. – So your ovaries like aren’t working? – No, not working. – What the heck? It’s gonna be okay, you’re okay. – So, I was on this low carb diet, and one of the side effects
of being on a low carb diet is like a metallic taste in your mouth, and I woke up one morning, and this was probably my
first sign of being pregnant, but I didn’t think it was at the time. – Didn’t you also drink pickle juice? I distinctly remember you
coming and sitting down right here and drinking pickle juice. – But I kinda drink
pickle juice a little bit. – (laughs) Okay, anyway. – Anyway, it was like a really weird, really strong taste in my mouth, very like metallically gross. It’s like I think about it,
I’m like, oh it’s so gross! But that can be side
effect of eating low carb. I personally was like,
I don’t think I’m eating that low carb enough to like get that metallic taste in my mouth, but– – But then we went out
to dinner with your mom. – I went out to dinner with my mom, and she was like, oh interesting. Yeah you should probably take
a pregnancy test. (laughs) – She’s like, metallic taste
means your having a baby boy. – I hadn’t taken a pregnancy test, and I’d taken probably, I
don’t know, two or three– – Yeah. – Throughout the past three months, so– – You took one like once a month. – I took one pretty
much like once a month, and so for me I was
thinking, I’m going to wait until 100% I think I should be taking one, and with my progesterone being a zero, I thought it was basically
impossible for me to be pregnant. I just didn’t think that was possible. I was just like, there’s
no way I can be pregnant because I took the progesterone test. There’s no way. And I– – But your mom told you to. – She told me to, and I was
like, okay, I’ll just take one. So actually, after dinner with my family, I came home, and I just took one, and I was literally shocked. I’m almost sure it’s gonna be negative, but just because my cycle is late, and just to make sure, and
just because I have had just a couple, little, tiny, maybe, potentially possible
symptoms like the weird taste in my mouth, that’s pretty much it. I have eaten a couple weird
things, but not really. I like a lot of weird foods. Anyways, (whispers) I’m gonna take it. I’m gonna take one. I feel nervous about it because I already feel
emotionally involved, but let’s just take it, just
so we know, just so we know. Okay. (exhales heavily) I’m trying to give it like, I didn’t even read the
directions this time. Supposed to give it like a
couple of minuets or something. Okay, I’m gonna look. (gentle piano music) Wait. (gentle piano music) Wait. (gentle piano music) No way! (gentle piano music) You guys! (laughs) Wait, look, look. (gentle piano music) I didn’t think it was gonna be positive. I was shocked. – I was so confused. – I was like, what do you mean? It’s like, it’s a positive? – Yeah. – So I took it by myself, and then I like ran out of
the bathroom to tell Corbin. – We were like, we were happy and excited, but like I think we were
both just so confused. We were like wait, you
had this hormone test that said you couldn’t get pregnant, and now you have a
positive pregnancy test. It was just all really confusing for us. – It was very confusing. – And I was a little bit
worried because I was just like, is this even possible, you know? – Yeah. – I thought there was
something wrong, maybe. – So, it was kind of like wow, we’re super excited
kind of in shock moment that is normal with a pregnancy test, but then immediately after,
I was just like worried. – Yeah.
– So. – We didn’t wanna get our hopes up because it was just like the doctor, on one hand was saying,
you can’t get pregnant, and then here we have a
positive pregnancy test. – Basically, I called my midwife
first thing in the morning because my immediate thought
was, oh wow, like I’m pregnant. That’s so exciting, but my
progesterone is probably too low to sustain it, like that was my thoughts– – Right. – In my head, that was my main worry. Thank you, yeah I’m excited! Okay, and what about, should– What if I just get into
the lab and test it again? Okay, we’re heading to
the office right now. – What’d she say? – She said, we’re just gonna go ahead and test right now,
again, my progesterone. – Oh okay. – She says, she thinks, if my gut feeling is to not take it, then she thinks I should follow that. But she also said, it can’t hurt, and I suggested well,
what if I just test it to see if it’s still low? And she said, okay let’s do that. I’ll meet you at the
office in ten minutes. – Oh okay, let’s go. – I better get dressed. – We got ten minutes Bug. – Ten minutes Bug! – We met the midwife like right away, and it was super, super stressful. I think I was kind of like
numb to the whole situation, like a part of me was just like,
okay this might not happen. It might not happen, I didn’t
wanna have my hopes up, and I was just kind of like numb to it. – Yeah.
– So. – And the midwife came
out in the waiting room, and she was like, okay, so
your progesterone was low. The only way we can really find out if this pregnancy is gonna happen, is if we do an ultrasound. Through this whole thing,
I was just super confused, so I actually, you had
to go to the bathroom, and I was in there with the midwife, and I just asked her, I was
like, is everything okay? Is this even possible? So with her progesterone
being almost zero, and she’s pregnant, is that like abnormal? – [Midwife] We’ll see. We shall see. – Has that happened before? – [Midwife] Well she got an IUD out, she had a little bit of
abnormal uterine bleeding. So it was like, well, let’s
check your progesterone, but it just goes to
show, I’m not in charge. – Basically she left it up to us like, I’m not in control, like
anything can happen. – Yeah. – Meaning like, there’s
a higher power, God, that is in control, and she’s like, I can do the tests and do all this, but ultimately, it’s
not up to me, you know? Doctor in the waiting room said, okay, we can do an ultrasound, and this will give you your answer, or what we thought was
going to be the answer. – [Doctor] So I have no idea
really when you conceived. Definitely not seven weeks. This is the gestational sack. This is the yolk sack. And there’s maybe a wedding
ring sign, a fetal pole. But it’s (toddler crying)– – [Corbin] She’s okay. – [Doctor] We have to,
these will play out. I don’t see a heartbeat,
(toddler crying) I don’t see an actual fetus.
(child wailing) – [Corbin] I don’t know what that means. It’s either really early or
not viable is what she said. – Yeah. – So we won’t know until we test your– – We won’t know until Monday. – [Corbin] HCG. So we shouldn’t worry yet, because you’re probably just really early. – I don’t see how that’s possible. – We didn’t see a heartbeat,
it was barely an embryo, and she said either you’re pregnant, and I dated you wrong, or
you have been pregnant, and the pregnancy’s not viable. – Yeah, like it stopped
progressing, not viable. – That’s when she recommended an HCG test. – Today like the day of the ultrasound. – Yeah.
– And then later on– – So I basically went to the lab, I had my blood drawn for HCG testing, and oh gosh, so unfortunate,
we were there on a Friday, and they are not open on the weekends. So usually, you can get it
done again the next day, I think is what she said– – But it was the weekend. – And see if it’s going
up, but I had to wait the whole weekend, which was just like– – But she did call with the
HCG results of the first one. – Yes. Oh good! Okay. Oh good! Yeah, that yeah, that’s very confusing. It did, okay. Okay, but then I’ll still
go get that test on Monday. Okay thank you. Okay bye. Good news! Yeah basically, (laughs) she’s like, I have no
idea when you conceived. She’s like, you– Well my HCG levels are, I don’t remember what she said, like 11,000 or something, so we wouldn’t even see a
heartbeat until like 20,000. She said my progesterone’s good. So it went up. It’s like 17 now. – [Corbin] It’s probably the diet. – She thinks, okay good news. What it’s at right now,
HCG levels right now that– is fine, we haven’t seen a
heartbeat, but still do a test on Monday and make sure
it’s still going up. Just to make sure that I’m early. – [Corbin] Yeah. – Basically. – [Corbin] So she thinks
you’re around five weeks. – So like, what the
ultrasound and the HCG levels, those matched up, basically, but we wanna still test the HCG levels and make sure it’s just
going up and that it’s early. – Gotcha. – And not going down. So that’s good, right? We still won’t know until
Monday for sure but, ah, what a whirlwind. – It was a stressful weekend
because we basically, we wouldn’t know until Monday if we were gonna be having a baby or not. And it was just like–
– It was crazy. – In my heart I was like, I
don’t think anything is wrong. – Yeah. – Especially when the first one lined up, I was like okay that,
then we’re fine, you know. I feel like nothing’s wrong. – Yeah, and I felt the same way. I felt– Because I’ve been trying to– I’ve been tracking my cycle,
as closely as possible, so I kinda had, like to me, I was like okay, there’s no way it
was like this many weeks that they said it was, it was
like, that’s just not possible according to like my tracking. So I felt like everything
was gonna be okay, but it was still kind of like in limbo and not really like holding on
to it, not really being like, excited, but kind of like holding back. – Yeah, it was just, it was a lot of mixed emotions that weekend. – Yeah.
– It was confusing. So then, Monday finally came, and we headed off to take the next test. – Yeah, okay, so I just left
the lab for my second HCG test. Basically, this is the
most important test now. Well, I guess it was important
in the beginning too, but it’s important
because this will tell us if the pregnancy is viable. – Yeah. – So, I personally think
everything is fine. – I think everything is fine. – Somehow the timing is super
weird, and I don’t know, but– – But your cycles are weird. – This is very similar to
what happened with June. No we didn’t do like full on HCG testing and everything like that, but, they thought I was, according
to like my cycle date and everything, I should have
been a lot further along. Then when they did a dating ultrasound, they were like okay, you’re
definitely not that far along. So, I think everything is fine, but it will be reassuring
to get that result. – And this will like basically be the, we’re for sure pregnant. – Yeah, basically we’ll find out today, well, I am for sure pregnant, but we’ll find out today– – [Couple] If it’s viable. – Gotcha. Today, we will find out if we
are for sure having a child. – Yes. Yes. – That’s exciting. – So, she told me to text
her after I left the lab, so I did, so once they get those results, she’s just gonna call me right away. So, it should be pretty quick. – Yeah. – I hope its just like an hour or so. – So exciting.
– It is exciting. It’s like I’m a little
nervous, but not really. My gut tells me everything is okay. – Yeah, I think everything is fine. – Yeah. – This has been such a weird way to find out you’re pregnant. – It has been–
– It’s been days long. – It has been so, it’s been such, yeah it’s been crazy because it’s like, okay, took a test, I
personally didn’t think it was gonna be positive,
and then it was positive, and then I was freaking out
about the low progesterone, and then getting the test, and
then getting the ultrasound, and it’s like not matching up,
and then doing another test. – It’s been really confusing. – It’s been very crazy, but
hopefully it’s all good news– – It’ll be good news! – I think it’ll be good news! So yeah, I had the test
taken in the morning, and then my midwife actually
texted me later that day. – Yeah, and she had the results. – She had the results. The midwife just texted. – What’d she say? – She said, HCG went up beautifully. – We’re pregnant my love! – Yay! – We’re gonna have another baby! – I know!
– Know-it-all. (laughs) – Juni’s gonna be a big sister. – Oh my gosh, she’s going to
be such a cute big sister. She’s going to be so excited. – I love you.
– I love you. I’m glad everything is okay. – I know, me too. (sighs)
– I knew it was. – Yeah, I had a feeling it was okay, but, it’s good to know for sure. (gentle piano music) – Family of four. – Family of four coming soon. – So we’re officially pregnant! (laughing) Which you guys know because
we already announced it, but, that was the journey–
– That’s a behind the scenes– – Basically–
– Of everything we’ve going through for the last couple weeks, and, it’s just been so confusing. – That was a lot.
– (laughs) yeah. – That was a lot, but it’s
all gonna be good now I think. It’s settling in, now,
that everything’s okay. So that’s good. – Yeah, and we’re gonna be
doing another ultrasound, and we might be able to hear
the heartbeat, but I’m not sure because it’s basically
our dating ultrasound of when we’re gonna find out our due date. – Yeah, we’re doing that today,
so you’ll see that tomorrow. – That is our pregnancy journey story. – Yeah, I guess. – Our story on how we got pregnant. – Yeah, thank you guys
so much for your support throughout this whole process. I know it was a really
emotional process for me. I’m so, so, so grateful
that we are pregnant, that we were able to get
pregnant on our own by ourselves. I know that’s not always the case for a lot of people out there. And I just wanna thank you
guys for just like your support and your prayers and
positive vibes and stuff. – Thank you guys so much.
