Labor and Delivery-When am I Giving Birth Already? What are the Labor Signs that you are In Labor?

((HOST EMILY FRANCES-HOW TO MOM TV))
Hello Everyone, this is Emily Frances and welcome to How to Mom TV. So youre at the
end of your pregnancy, the home stretch. Even though the end of the rainbow is in sight,
chances are you are feeling like crap, youre bloated, youre swollen, your back hurts
and youre walking like a duck, you cant sleep and your probably screaming WHEN
AM I GONNA HAVE THIS BABY!! ((HEAR HEARTBEAT DOCTOR TALKS TO PATIENT))
this sounds pretty strong and pretty steady. this is a normal heart rate which is 100 to
160 ((HOST EMILY FRANCES-HOW TO MOM TV))
I spoke to veteran ob gyn Dr. Janice Marks who has given thousands of labor and delivery
talks during her 2 decades in practice and says this is the most asked question. ((DR. JANICE MARKS / OB GYN))
Everyone wants to know when am I gonna have this baby. Statistically youre
80% likely to have your baby 10 days before to 10 days after your due date. How youre
gonna deliver whether youre gonna go into labor or break your water is very statistically
geared. Most women dont break their water. Less than 20% of the time you will actually
break your water. So most of the time youre actually gonna go into labor. ((HOST EMILY FRANCES-HOW TO MOM TV))
Dr. Marks says if your water does break, you need to call your ob gyn right away. If you
have any questions for me or Dr. Marks please submit them to the how to mom tv youtube channel
and well be sure to answer. Thanks for watching and well see you soon.
