Becoming Mom: Voices from the birth center team at Von Voigtlander Women’s Hospital

(relaxing music) Every time a
baby’s born I feel like I sort of relive how I felt as a mother. And no matter how many times I’ve seen it I still get teared up because its just so amazing how, I was just thinking the other day, a baby kind of knows
its mother immediately. Every single time I tear
up just a little bit. You know they can
do it because everybody’s gonna get to the end somehow. It’s just watching them
struggle through it and then trying to be the positive voice that they can do it. That they will get there. -Everybody gets to that point. Where you’re like I can’t do this anymore. And its just kind of a
telling point of labor that we’re in that real transition where things are cruising along. It’s emotional. Especially the first, the
moms that are new moms. It’s pretty emotional. Because that’s all, that’s
everything they went through the minute you give them that baby they forget everything, so, it’s rewarding definitely. You get to
see the first breath. That’s pretty profound. And you get to see Moms at their probably like the hardest time
in their life at that point. They’ve never done anything like that. And then to get to be there at the end when like their greatest gift is born. It’s amazing. (relaxing music)
