  • Abbey and Elizabeth looks like sisters OMG! Wow๐Ÿ˜ฑ I believe Abbey felt something deep in her spirit & soul when she held that woman's hand. All my love to you Abbey๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’ž

  • I'm 27 years, my mum left home when I was 3 months..No siblings no father, no nothing..she got married some where and I have never set my eyes on her..I pray to God to meet her one day.. God willing

  • Abii! Wow, just wow. I was on an emotional roller coaster with you. This is one of those journeys that impact so many and I thank you for allowing us to share in it. Iโ€™m in awe of your grace through out it all. This is fate…you had the right man by your side and the reporter was exceptional. You will do great things because you are blessed.

  • Thanks very much Abi for sharing your story with us. At least you are cnnected to your new African Family. Later you will know the truth. Because your mother is in the same family. God Bless you dear.

  • What an awesome story … wouldn't it mean if the sister is actually a cousin they shared paternal DNA and not maternal DNA … well maybe my math is wrong but I'm glad she found her home at least

  • Such Heart Warming story. Her Adopted Parents are such Wonderful and exceptional people, to overcome all the traumas during the adoption.. What God Bless No man curse!!!

  • My ancestry test said my great aunt was my first cousin. They predict relationships based off of the amount of relatedness.

  • I canโ€™t believe her real mother would not come forward. How could she let her go back leave there with out saying the truth itโ€™s 36 yearโ€™s already. Come clean already. Dag!!!

  • This is such a beautiful story. It really put White people in a very good light in terms o adopting Black children. I'm also happy for her to have found her birth family. And, another abandoned baby there at the same time as their visit… Just amazing!!!

  • That's the face of africa. How can they with people emotion to that extend. That lady will dislike Africa one more time.

  • Oh God!!!!! I've ever cried like this. I'm sobbing like a baby. My head is pounding. How long ago was This? Is this happening in 2019?

  • WOW!!!! Thank GOD!!! One thing i know for sure, African people are so kind. They always welcome people into their country. Not all of Africa is poor but African People are very Humble people. That little boy wasn't going for being a boyfriend! LMBO! One thing I wish is for people stop using the term, ' I was or I am lucky." Luck does not exist!! God is who covers us and is a miracle worker.

  • What a story. That family secret may still come out and the truth will be told. I hope she was able to adopt the baby boy.

  • Seems like I'm missing something. Did she do a DNA test with Enda (prospective mother) and Lorraine (prospective sister). The report said that she did DNA test with Lorraine. After the meet and greet she did a DNA test with her 'mother'. I would love to see what the the probability of relation b/t Abii and Lorraine. It could be Edna's husband got someone/ one of her sister pregnant in the same time frame. The probability of relation should tell if they are sisters or cousins.

  • Awesome documentary…..excellent….I cried and wept all the way through this video….I give high praise to the husband of Abby, who has taken such love and tenderness with this lady, Abby and her family and the tenderness he shows with the children, truly a great husband and father, also the parents that raised Abby, wonderful people. They have a Godly love in this family…yes, mistakes were made, but, we should look to God to settle the score, not judge anyone, God knows and that is what matters most. Nice Interviewer, excellent, I will probably share this with my friends…they need to see the love and compassion these people have…..

  • Gosh, my eyeballs>>>>I have been crying through the whole documentary. This was tough for Abii, but she is tougher!! Also, how amazing are African communities?? I absolutely love my people and their open arms….. No where be like Africa aki

  • So did she find out who was her mom? What's the back story? Man this was heavy.. I hope she's started the healing process peace and love and light sista

  • They need to stop lying to that girl about the family connections! If they only came clean from the beginning, then the media team would never have had to deal with one of Mugabe's evil family members! What nonsense! Stop lying! Tell the truth! Smh

  • Her total healing and acceptance will come from her adopting the little boy and start the journey afresh. Also her respect for her adoptive parents will be on another level.

  • It is a shame that hospital staff have been scapegoated for this story, the facts are that there is no way that the supposed mother would have been told that she had twins in this story, as it is clearly not possible, it is however, obvious that the woman was covering up for her younger sister who has given birth to her husbands child and abandoned her, the reality is that he had sex with a girl of 13 who gave birth at 14 if her supposed sister is her cousin.

In this case he is not an honourable man and I am sure that she has the hindsight to see this later on in life.
It would be easy to figure out whether any of the other 11 siblings are related too, in which they would all be cousins.
I think that the father probably is the father to her and the mother is not, shame they did not test him instead of the mum.
In this case both the mother and the father have been dishonest and have covered up a crime, abandoning a baby, which is something that all of them must have been aware of either at the time or later on or they would not have concocted the lie between themselves.

With that said, it was a most touching real story that had such a loving theme, the baby being adopted through this drama says more about the underlying theme of love and abandonment than the story itself. The lady and man in this are wonderful human beings and that is down to upbringing and to personal attributes, no matter who gave birth to you, upbringing and love and who you become are far, far more important.

  • This brings tears to my eyes.thank God for the adopted parents mostly thank God for the together ness meeting her family the tears hugs and kisses is so overwhelming bless you all

  • So near and yet so very near? Who is her real mother? I hope she finally finds out. What a beautiful and loving adopted parents.

  • This is just too emotional. Running tears myself but better she found her roots. The husband is also awesome for his support making such a trip.

  • Tinashe Mugabe. Lol.
Look at his surname, lol, what were you guys thinking. Of course he would have connections. This is Africa ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Gutted, perhaps you should have done the DNA testing in South Africa. All hope is not lost. This is a beautiful story. Abi has the most supportive…oh lord, what a tale

  • This could be a case of incest in the family, nobody wants to talk …nevertheless, it's good she knows her roots, how about thanking God for that beautiful baby who has found such a loving family to adopt him..all things work for good to those who love the Lord.

  • Wow. She's strong because I honestly don't know what I would do. I'm such a emotional reck as is already. Wow just wow.

  • there was a little tease at the beginning, someone said "he was holding a knife against my throat" and then nothing ever came of it

    (Iโ€™ve been to Zim/Hare

  • ๐Ÿง๐Ÿง๐ŸงGuys I think that the young lady is indeed her sister(1/2), and that Stanford is her dad she smiles just like him!!! I believe he slept with his wifeโ€™s 14 year old sister and the baby was put in the bushes and the family secret buried. Edna probably had some guilt thinking baby died and probably was really overwhelmed and regretful. I think the woman that hopped in the vehicle is her mom but is not to speak of that pregnancy. Sheโ€™s probably married now and her husband can not know the truth. However the father knows thatโ€™s his kid and thus Abigails family.
